Motolines sells the products listed on this site and is the sole controller of your personal data. There is no other seller or vendor deciding how your data is used. The service providers listed under Data Sharing process your data on our instructions only.
3. Data We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide
- Account information (name, email, phone number)
- Vehicle details (make, model, year, VIN)
- Billing and shipping addresses
- Card details: entered on Tap's payment page, never on ours. We do not receive or store your card number
- Communication preferences
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information and IP address
- Browser type and settings
- Usage data and browsing history on our platform
- Location data (with your consent)
4. How We Use Your Data

- To provide customer support
- To personalize your shopping experience
- To send transactional communications
- To send marketing communications (with your consent)
- To improve our platform and services
- To comply with legal obligations
- To prevent fraud and ensure security
5. Data Sharing
We share your data with:
- Tap Payments: takes your card payment. You enter your card details on Tap's page and we receive back the result of the payment, not the card number
- Google Firebase: handles account sign-in and email verification, so it processes your email address
- Suppliers and delivery: the name, address, phone number and order details needed to get your order to you
- Legal authorities: when the law requires it
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
6. Data Retention
We keep your account details for as long as you have an account with us. We keep order and payment records for as long as Bahraini law requires us to keep commercial records. You can ask us to delete your data at any time using the contact details below.
7. Your Rights (PDPL & GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@motolines.com
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS (TLS) on every page and every request
- We don't handle your password or your card details: sign-in runs through Google Firebase, payment through Tap
- Access controls on staff accounts, with an audit log of administrative actions
9. International Transfers
Two of the providers we rely on operate outside Bahrain: Google Firebase, which handles sign-in, and Tap, which handles payments. Using them means some of your data is processed abroad under those providers' own terms.
10. Children's Privacy
Our platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or platform notification.
